New merch alert: Pride T-Shirts

Coventry are celebrating the LGBTQ+ community during Pride month by introducing a new Pride logo and a T-Shirt coming soon to our new store page.

Shoubna Naika-Taylor, owner and team manager of the Overwatch team lead and initiated the move to support the LGBTQ+ community. "I am very excited to represent Pride month. We want to show our support and to demonstrate that Coventry Crosshairs are an advocate for inclusivity. This is something that's very close to me and this is our way of appreciating our community".

The logo has been redesigned with the Pride colours which will be used on all online social platforms and the new merch during Pride month. Shoubna expresses a hopeful start of a series of merchandise, "ideally, I'd like to include Pride related merch on badges, stationary and hoodies in the future as well as our usual branding". The soon to be opened store will have a range of merch added by the end of this year.

Coventry Crosshairs have always been welcoming and inclusive, but they would like to take an active role in doing so. There are many damaging stereotypes in Esports that may prevent the wider of network of esports fans to pursue careers in this field. Shoubna, in particular would like to break through this and inspire the potential for equality. There are plans for the future to enable this inclusive approach to esports but there are multiple milestones to hit along the way and this is no easy task. Coventry Crosshairs wishes to encourage the industry to move forward in equality regardless of sexuality as well as race and gender. With this in mind, all profits made from these t-shirts will be donated to a LGBTQ+ charity.

If you would like to purchase a t-shirt, let us know via the contacts page or our social media whilst we work on updating our online store.
